• Weekly MTG Challenge: Planeswalkers

  
  Yikes!  In the whirlwind of getting back from KC and playing catch up (and getting ready for the Leadership Conference next week), I totally forgot to post the weekly MTG Challenge.
  
  Last week's challenge was to construct a deck around one of the four multi-colored planeswalkers.  It seemed like the easy way was to make a token generating deck around Sarkhan Vol.  This was my first attempt.

  But who wants to go the easy route?  The whole point of the challenge is to foster creativity!  So instead I decided to construct a deck around Sarkhan the Mad.  I think Dr. Dave had the same thought, because he built his around what I thought was the weakest planeswalker in the bunch, Ajani Vengeant.

  It creates tons of tokens in the early going to hold down the fort while you find Sarkhan and get a Gilder Bairn into play with Paradise Mantle to keep him turning your tokens into dragons.
  
  Dr. Dave went another way.  He used Ajani Vengeant to make a deck that pretty much keeps everything tapped.

  We have yet to play test our decks, but I'm sure we will.  Both score points with me because they took the weakest planeswalkers available and made use of them.
