Calvin understands
Do you ever have days that were supposed to be so good, but wound up sucking every dick in the state of Missouri? That was my day yesterday.
I miss Calvin and Hobbes.

Be glad that Watterson ended Calvin and Hobbes when he did. It prevented the strip from becoming a hideously unfunny and irrelevant anachronism like so many other comics- Beetle Bailey, Archie, Blondie, etc.

Haha. One comic strip writer I wish hadn't stopped is Gary Larsen. I loved "The Far Side".
I recently passed on my love for Calvin and Hobbes to my two kids. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than to watch them reading book after book of the strip at the table. Of course, when they start referring to the babysitter as Rosalyn, I best make sure she's never locked out.
Maybe the strip ending kept it from going stale.
But I still wish there was a lot more.
