  • Sometimes you have to tell it how it is...

So many people thinking they're entitled to my time/attention, so little time.  What that means is that for most of them you just have to keep it sweet and succinct.  Such is the case with the current god-botter on my blog, aptly named Densegodbot.  We've had a couple friendly repartes as of late.  The most recent occurred when he said:

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.  Proverbs 28:5

To which I could only respond:

I seek knowledge, and I pee on people who parrot scripture.

    I must not tell lies.

JT, since I am so dense (thanks for the nickname by the way), you will have to explain to me how you are going to pee on me through the computer.  I am dense enough that I don't understand that one.

Just as there were many who were appalled at him - his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness.  Isaiah 52:14

And should we take you literally?

Did you consider that maybe the joke's on you, here? I mean, with a name like that ...

You need to improve your aim. Every time you try to pee on me, you miss.

  • DenseGodBot

@LifeNeedsProtection - Yes you should, I won't even threaten to pee on any of you.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  2 Timothy 3:16

@RaVnR - Oh no, maybe I should take my ball and go home.  JT gave me the nickname and I liked it so much I changed my username to DenseGodBot.  Thanks, JT.

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.  Do not fear what they fear, do not be frightened.
    1 Peter 3:14

  • RaVnR

@DenseGodBot - I like it too. Please don't be offended. I honestly think JT is missing out on a huge joke, or perpetrating one.

@DenseGodBot - "Before none of your printed idols do I bend in acquiescence. And he who saith 'thou shalt' to me is my mortal foe!"   - A. Lavey
    Amen. His word is true.

Oh, man. It's Friday and I'm having fun!

JT, did you check out the Wyatt Museum yet?

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.  Galatians 3:24

  • DenseGodBot

@In_Reason_I_Trust - I hate to disappoint you, but I don't consider you a mortal enemy.

You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?  Whosoever therefore  will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.  James 4:4

Try aiming your piss on this. (Hey, that rhymes.)  I Samuel 25:22 - "So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall."

    @RaVnR - I've considered he's a Poe.  It's so freaking hard to tell.

JT, since you won't answer my question about the  Wyatt Museum and Sodom and Gomorrah, here's some other questions for you.

    1.  Isn't it strange that the Bible was written by 40 authors over more than 1,500 years?  Isn't that a long time to write a work of fiction?  How did the first author know that someone would continue adding to his story?

    2.  If I were making up a religion, why would I include someone rising from the dead?  Wouldn't it have been easier to "sell" the religion without this part?

    3.  If I were making up a religion, why in the world would I include murder, rape, judgment, incest (Lot and his daughters), etc.?  One of the "stars" of the story was King David.  Why would I make up something about King David having a good man killed so David to take the man's wife for himself?  How does that help my cause?

    4.  If I were making up a religion to try to get other people believe it, why would I include all these negative things (I want to make clear that I do not consider the resurrection to be negative), things that are hard for people to hear?

If I were making all of this up, wouldn't have been easier to make it all up at the same time (think Muhammad)?  Wouldn't I want to keep control of the story (again, Muhammad)?

Seems to me that the logical explanation is that it is all true and the Bible is God inspired.  God put the good, the bad and the ugly in there to show that we are all human, we all make mistakes, even the hero's of the faith.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.  He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.  2 Peter 3:9
