@Amoralis - There's an extra M in "mormon". Angel's name was Moroni. Which makes them... well...
Again something worthy of your very limited understanding!
Thanks for the chuckle, hehe :)
I guess it's a good thing that I don't know anyone who is sinless.
Denying God is sin, so good luck :)
Lmao !
Another post showing that you really do believe Jesus died for your sins.
@SpokenThruScott - Sin is where the fun is at. And that's not a coincidence. It's a supremely engineered scheme. Think about it. Having sex is a sin (if a priest doesn't allow it first via marriage.) Masturbating is a sin. Hell, THINKING about sex is a sin. But...it just so happens that sex is a built-in, automatic desire. Hmmmm... Ergo, you're always caught up in guilt, asking forgiveness and apologizing for being human!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8KTFQ23CWY = TRUTH. Well, aside from the fact that there are no gods and no devils. But, the concepts presented are true and perfectly describe the nature of Xtianity.
@kenedwards5 - Says the guy who twists history to further his agenda. Tsk, tsk.
@jmallory - Perhaps you don't know any atheists. "Sin" is a concept made up by your religion. It means disobedience to your god. The concept does not apply to any non-Christian. I hear "sin" and you might as well be talking about "the force" in Star Wars. Both are mere creations of man.
Guilt? No, not really... I mean if you feel guilty about your sins, yet you profess to be in Christ then there is something wrong. I don't feel guilty, because I trust in Christ's work in me... Up to this point and in the future. The thing is I my mind is focused on God, and I continue to grow and overcome my sins. I use to struggle with masturbation, porn, and adulterous thoughts in the past, but it's a rare accession these days. Even then, if I begin to think about those things, my trust in God quickly leads me out of those thoughts. Not that I claim to be sinless, but forgiveness is something I ask with confidence, it's not a dreadful or depressing task. But you are on the right track regarding one thing, we are human and therefore cannot claim to be on the same level as God. Why do you think it took God (Jesus, God the son) to fulfill God's law? For Christ and through Christ all things were made, only he has made to be sinless and receives all Glory and is Lord over all creation. I have no qualms over this. This was God's plan all along, you ever read Romans 9-11? So yea... God did plan all along that only through his son could we please him. Generations of acient Israel was an example just for us that no one could please God without faith in his son.
@musterion99 - I guess you can't recognize a joke when you see it?
We can mock religion and still know it's bullshit.
@TheThinkingPerson - Oy vey! I knew it was a joke and I was obviously being sarcastic since I know JT doesn't really believe that.
@TheThinkingPerson - Not your fault. Sometimes sarcasm is hard to express through text.
@In_Reason_I_Trust - oh yes, great fun sin isn't it! Try telling that to a child who has been forced into protestution for men to have their fun by sinning with her. Try telling that to a kid in the developing world eating rubbish from a dump while people in the West have fun by overeating. Great fun! Try telling that to the woman who's husband has left her with four kids because he wants to have 'fun' with his secretary. Don't you realise that sin has negative consequences for everyone? I would seriously advise you to have a brain scan to check whether there is anything there!
@In_Reason_I_Trust - no, I don't twist history. Just correct the distorted picture of history presented by people like your good self.
@Zerowing21 - rather better than a degree in nothing!

What you're basically saying is that God designed you to be incapable of not sinning, to be incapable of perfection. It takes a man who is also God to be a non-sinner. God makes you a sinner, makes you incapable of not sinning without him, and then tells you you're horrible and monstrous before his eyes and you must change or you're going to suffer eternally. I don't understand how that is a God worth loving. God "planned" us to be sinners? He doesn't sound like he loves us either.
@TheBillion - Well you started off on the right track, no man is incapable of not sinning, and only Jesus was made sinless and therefore was made perfect. Then you veered off into a tangent, I don't see any where God calls us horrible and monsterous, I know I've never been called that by God, although God does despise the wicked and those who are truely evil. Regarding his love, you might be thinking of John 3:16 - God so loved the world, but it says clearly those who believe in him. Other places he tells us God loves us because we loved his son an believed in him. I am ever grateful that God called me out of the world and transformed my sinful nature just believe in Christ. Let's say you believed in his son, then God would love you too, he certaintly wouldn't call you monstrous, and knowing that we cannot be sinless before God, then believe in his son, so that your sins may be forgiven is the only hope you have.
@SpokenThruScott - okay, but all that is very tangential to the central question I asked. Maybe I need to clarify?
God "planned" us to be sinners?
I would say yes, although I know Musterion99 would disagree with me. She believes in freewill, I don't believe in freewill.
God in his sovereignty planned this from the beginning. and knew the end from the beginning. This ties into the meta-narrative of God. Much of scripture tells us everything led up to the messiah's ministry on earth, his sacrifice, and everything being placed under him. This includes us believing in him in order for our sins to be forgiven.
@SpokenThruScott - God designed us such that we're incapable of not sinning, then threatens to send us to hell for being the way he made us. You're totally okay with that? It doesn't seem like a rather nasty thing to do to people?
