Lazy NES thread
Today is some of the first down time I've had in a while. I actually slept in!
In the interest of being as lazy a slug as possible today, I've decided to spend the bulk of the daylight hours revisiting old NES games. I plan to start with Legacy of the Wizard.
If you have any suggestions, preferably of old school NES (or even SNES or Genesis) games that are diamonds in the rough, let me know. :)
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand onward to a glorious, sedentary Saturday!

Chrono Trigger!!! Probably one of my favorite of all time now.
Crystalis is one of my all-time favorite NES games. It got a remake on the Game Boy Advance, but while it does make the story a little clearer, the new music is horrible, and the gameplay was broken.
Blaster Master is another great one. It's tough, but you never get tired of it.
The Gargoyle's Quest series is a great adventure series that you don't hear much about. The first one is for the Game Boy, the second one is for the NES, and the third one (called Demon's Crest) is for the SNES.
The Battle for Olympus is a Zelda II-style game that is somewhat obscure. It takes place in ancient Greece with lots of references to mythology.
If you want to get really obscure, check out Phantom Fighter. The cool thing about this one is how much it references Japanese folklore.
I have a pretty large collection of NES games, so let me know if you want even more ideas.
Charles Barkley: Shut Up and Jam!
You get to punch people, take the basketball, and dunk from half court. This amused me to no end when I was 10.

Wizards and Warriors III and Battle of Olympus are two nostalgia favorites of mine, but I'm not sure anyone has the same connection with them that I do.
I enjoyed playing contra, teenage mutant ninja turtles the arcade version, and battletoads.
